Puerto de Vega

Fishing harbour & seafood restaurant . Who needs something else ?This small fishing town with a fantastic array of harbourside restaurants, cafés and bars, all great for a glass of something nice and a plate of freshly fried squid or grilled queen scallops with parsley and garlic, sizzling hot green peppers…

If you’re looking for something really special, head to the Meson del Centro, tucked away in the old quarter in Cupid Square. Clams, queens, mussels, squid, razor clams… red mullet served with strawberries, monkfish served up on a crayfish sauce, hake with leek puré… For pud you just have to try the torrijas, the best I’ve ever tasted, a bread-based dessert, light, fluffy, just heavenly.
